Welcome to the Village of Simpson North Carolina website.  The Village of Simpson is located in the Grimesland Township, Pitt County.  The Village is approximately one mile south of NC 33, at the intersection of SR 1755 and 1759 and the Norfolk and Southern Railroad.

LIVING

Located just east of Greenville, Simpson is a small village that dates back to the early 1900's. The Simpson land use planning area consists of 4.77 square miles, including the town limits and the area contained within the extraterritorial jurisdiction. The town limits contain .44 square miles. The Village of Simpson is home to a community park which has a basketball court, baseball field, and playground; it is located on Telfaire Street and has new walking trails. Simpson is minutes away from multiple recreational parks including Goose Creek State Park and River Park North. The Village is under a 2 hour drive to popular North Carolina beaches, such as Atlantic Beach and Emerald Isle. Located just an hour to the west is the State Capital of Raleigh.

In 2018, the United States Census Bureau estimated the Village of Simpson to have a population of 478 people.

The median household income for the Village of Simpson is $54,554. There are a total of 215 housing units in the Village. The median home price in Simpson is $143,000. The average household size in Simpson is 2.46 persons per household, a little larger than the average household size in Pitt County which is 2.21 persons per household.

The Village of Simpson is located near East Carolina University and Pitt Community College. Children living in Simpson can attend Pitt County Schools or a nearby private school. According to the United States Census Bureau over 88% of residents hold a high school degree or higher.
